Edwin D. Layne and Sons Limited, were founded in 1948 by the husband and wife team of, Edwin Layne from Calliaqua and Clara (nee Nanton) Layne from Edinboro, and have now been in existence for over 70 years. The children of the Laynes family are very much still involved in the management and operation of this entirely Vincentian owned company, catering principally to the domestic market - St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
