Antigua and Barbuda Restaurant Week 2023

Antigua and Barbuda’s first ever Restaurant Week is set to tantalise tastebuds from 7-21 May 2023.

This inaugural event aims to highlight the best food the country has to offer from some of its best chefs at some of its best restaurants.

According to the event’s official website, the entire week will be “a gastronomical adventure” that will feature diverse foodie-based experiences along with appearances from international chefs and a grand finale ‘Food and Art Experience’.

Over 14 days, visitors and locals can expect to enjoy ‘delectable cuisine’ at a myriad of restaurants on-island from fine dining to local food spots.

In a press release, Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Tourism, Charles Fernandez, billed the week as a “truly divine foodie experience presented by a team of amazing culinary artists and hosts.”

Some of the restaurants offering special lunch and/or dinner menus at a fixed cost of $25, $50, or $75 (US, excluding taxes and beverages) include La Cantina, Sheer Rocks, FoxHouse Restaurant and Bar, Gather Steak House, The Larder, Maia at South Point, and Catherine’s Café.

One of the most exciting activities on offer will be the ‘Eat Like a Local’ experience which offers participants the opportunity to taste genuine, local home cooked food. These national dishes will be served as either lunch or dinner at people’s homes, eateries, and food spots around the country, with prices not exceeding $15 (US).

The concluding ‘Food and Art Experience’ will “fuse cuisine and art native to Antigua and Barbuda, creating an experience that excites the senses and allows patrons to experience Antigua and Barbuda by taste, smell, sight, and touch.”
