Celebrate Christmas and the New Year in Style at Nelson’s Dockyard
by Karen Rollins Dec 5, 2022

Christmas would not be Christmas in Antigua and Barbuda without the annual ‘Champagne Party’ at Nelson’s Dockyard held on Christmas Day.
This event has been running for 30 years and is one of the most eagerly anticipated activities on the calendar during the festive season. It was even once listed as one of the five best Christmas events in the world by the New York Times.
Guests will be entertained by live music from local bands and DJs. The usual Christmas feast will be served buffet-style at the Copper and Lumber Store Historic Inn.
The party, which starts at around midday, is hosted by the Hourglass Foundation with the aim of raising funds for various local charities.
Less than a week later the same venue also hosts a celebratory Old Year’s Night (or New Year’s Eve) party. Hundreds of revellers will see out 2022 and welcome in 2023 with lots of food and drinks and music provided by a live band.
At midnight an amazing firework display from Fort Berkeley will light up the sky.
You won’t want to miss it.
Merry Christmas from Yello!
