A wide selection of innovative products made from mango and pineapple will be on show at Antigua and Barbuda’s upcoming PiAngo Fest 2023 (formerly known as Mango Fest) under the theme “infused”.

Organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, the event will be held from 19-20 August at the Cades Bay Agricultural Station.

The ministry said PiAngo Fest aims to give agro-processors and entrepreneurs a chance to display locally grown mangoes and pineapples in their natural state along with the many by-products that can be produced from them.

Some of the local items made from mango and pineapple on sale at the festival will include fruit wines, soaps, jams, sauces, jellies, cakes, sweets, and cosmetic products.

At the official launch for the event which included a mini-fair, newly appointed minister of agriculture, Chet Greene, said he was looking forward to attending this year’s festival but also called on the PiAngo Fest committee to increase the number of vendors to a minimum of 60 in the future.

PiAngo Fest also includes food, music, exhibitions, and competitions so it’s fun for all the family. Go along and show your support for local producers.
