When is it a good time to visit the Caribbean? Anytime!

North to South, there are events galore in which to participate. One event that continues to bring visitors to the peninsular is our regattas. Offering the hottest sailing races, the region’s regattas which began in January and continue, are a huge draw.

The Caribbean hosts over 100 sailing events each year, including Aruba’s thrilling annual International Regatta. Celebrating sailing, people and nature, the yearly nautical competition inspires and develops young Aruban sailors while strengthening the sailing community. Also, alongside our local vessels are international yachts and catamarans.

Though the islands have entered the Atlantic hurricane season, Aruba offers visitors and sailors refuge as it sits outside the hurricane belt. There is no reason to miss the Aruba International Regatta 2023 which takes place from 25 to 27 August. Join the island’s talented skippers as we connect with nature and participate in sustainable water sport experiences. It’s one of the main highlights on the Aruba sailing events calendar.

So, get ready to jib and tack!  To help you start planning, here’s a list of the scheduled activities, among which are the biggest sailing races in Aruba:

Activities: Registration and Regatta Opening Party

Time: 5pm to 9pm

Venue: Regatta Village, Surfside

Day Three

Date: 26 August 2023

Activities: Races and Regatta Party

Time: 9am to 9pm

Venues: Ocean West of Regatta Village, Surfside and Regatta Village, Surfside

Day Four

Date: 27 August 2023

Activities: Races, Youth Prize Ceremony, Regatta After Party and Adult Prize Ceremony

Time: 9am to 9pm
