Ready, Set, Go! Aruba’s Annual Fire Prevention 10k and 5k Runs

Aruba’s Fire Prevention 10k and 5k runs are set to take place on 29 September.
This annual event, also known as the Brandweer Loop, is held to highlight the dangers of fire and to raise awareness of the dedication and bravery of the island’s firefighters.
The races attract over 1,000 competitors and are open to local and visiting runners and walkers, although the 2019 event is already sold out!
However, you can still go along and cheer on the participants who will be following a circular route that begins and ends at the fire house in Tanki Flip in the northwest of the island.
The race starts at 6am. There will be awards for the first male and female in both races as well as the male and female winners in various age categories and medals for all of those taking part.
This is the 36th edition of the Brandweer Loop. It’s expected to be as fun as always and all for a good cause!
