Ready to Tee-Off: Aruba’s International Pro-Am Golf Tournament 2019

Aruba’s premier golf event, featuring professionals and amateurs from around the world competing in teams, will tee-off from 23-25 August.
The golf course at the Tierra del Sol Resort, Spa and Country Club, on the rugged north coast of the island, is the venue for the annual two-day, 36-hole tournament.
The Aruba Tourism Authority website describes the par-71 course, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., as “challenging”.
It adds: “[The course] measures 6,811 yards from the tips and provides golfers with a desert layout similar to links courses of the American Southwest and spectacular ocean views”.
Aruba boasts two other distinctive golf courses. The Links at Divi Aruba in Oranjestad which is a nine-hole, par-36 course and the island’s oldest golf course at Aruba Golf Club in Seroe Colorado, which is also nine holes and dates to 1941.
The course at Tierra del Sol is the only 18-hole championship course on Aruba and has been approved by the Professional Golfers’ Association.
Along with gifts and prizes, participants can expect a welcome reception, BBQ party, brunch buffets and a glitzy dinner awards night.
This is the 25th year the annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament has been held in Aruba. It’s a highly competitive and fun event for golfers and golf fans.
