Celebrating Easter In Aruba: What You Need To Know For Campamento 2025
by Lou-Ann Jordan Apr 7, 2025

The Easter holiday is significant throughout the Caribbean, and it’s the same here in Aruba. It’s typically a time for family gatherings and the sharing of traditions. While we enjoy kite flying, Easter for us is synonymous with camping—specifically, beach camping. During the week before Easter and Holy Week, families and friends trade their comfy homes for a little rustic, outdoor living.
This Easter, the beach camping season runs from 13 to 27 April 2025. Those interested in spending Holy Week on the beach are encouraged to apply early for permits. Ideally, requests should be submitted before 4 April 2025. Early applications ensure families can retain their favourite sites.
Since Eagle, Baby, Palm, and Arashi beaches are designated campsites for the period, visitors who are new to the island can anticipate seeing them converted into tent villages. Also, it should be simple to find your crew if you’re returning for another Campamento adventure, as it is customary for families or groups to return to the same spot each year. Of course, you should still confirm their location.
Ultimately, it will be a wonderful two weeks of families and close friends enjoying each other’s company in nature. As is the custom, the time will be passed with boisterous domino competitions or friendly sporting matches like volleyball, tennis, or football. Then, of course, there are the live bands entertaining the campers that make the nights anything but mellow.
Campamento offers an experience unlike any other! Aruba, get ready, as all roads lead to the beaches for our favourite Easter tradition. For more information, visit the Cuerpo Policial Aruba website.
