This June, Bonaire offers a new event for visitors and locals.
The Bonaire Rum Week, which will take place from 14 – 17 June 2022, is an exciting addition to Bonaire’s event schedule. Hosted by Tourism Corporation Bonaire, the festival’s coordinators include Caribbean Journal and the organisers of the Caribbean Rum Awards in St. Barth.
Visitors can anticipate a flurry of activities over the four days, including rum tasting, cigar events, and a cocktail competition. The Bonaire Rum Week will showcase several of the Caribbean’s finest spirits and premium rums from around the world.
Alexander Britell, editor and publisher of Caribbean Journal, stated that the festival is a celebration of rum “as an artisanal, ultra-premium spirit, set against the backdrop of this impossibly beautiful, pristine island.” In its first instalment, the Bonaire Rum Week is guaranteed to be a lively affair; one likely to be repeated.
