We all have those times where our energy levels are low. It seems like you’re always feeling tired, it’s important to figure out the cause.

Here are six possible reasons why you have no energy.

You might be anaemic

Anaemia is caused by a lack of red blood cells. One of the major symptoms of the condition is fatigue because there is a shortage of red blood cells carrying oxygen around your body. Young women who have heavy periods are particularly susceptible, and so are people with iron or vitamin B deficiencies and those with diabetes or kidney disease.

You’re not moving enough

When you move nitric oxide is released by the linings of your arteries. This allows blood to move more freely around your body, bringing oxygen and nutrients to your cells.

You have too much sugar

While sugary foods are a quick way to ramp up energy levels, it doesn’t keep them up. In fact, foods high in sugars and refined carbs are likely to leave you in an energy slump.

You’re stressed

Stress is a nightmare for the body. Feeling overwhelmed and stressed plays a big role in being tired all the time.

You’re not hydrated

Not drinking enough water is never good. Dehydration can lead to lack of energy, so make sure you’re getting in that H2O.

Depression

Depression and anxiety don’t just affect the mind they affect your body too. If you’re depressed or suffering with anxiety, this could be the root cause of why you always feel tired.
