Where do you shop in the Bahamas?
I enjoy shopping at Lorene’s, Fashion Hall, Adam & Eve, Uptown Boutique, and Tanya Saunders Boutique.
What are your classic ‘must have’ items of clothing in your closet?
I have quite a number of must-haves. I need black pants, black skirt, black dress, a cardigan, a blazer, maxi dress, tops with flowing sleeves, a formal dress, and outfits that can go from day to evening, and a jumpsuit.
Is there a particular style of clothing or jewellery that you favour?
Resort wear. By this I mean, long flowing skirts or maxi dresses and handmade jewellery pieces that reflect the islands with unique beads and silver.
What is your fashion obsession?
Shoes. It’s really bad and I have shoes in almost every style and in every colour.
Do you prefer wearing flats or heels?
I love heels – wedges and platform heels –but when I’m kicking back I love stylish flip flops and sandals.
What is your favourite lipstick?
My new favourite is Labradorable by MAC, and, my everyday lip gloss when I feel like going natural is Nude New York City Liquid Lipshine by NYC.
What perfume do you wear?
Daisy by Marc Jacobs and Joyful by Escada. I also wear customized body oil made in the Bahamas that is my own signature fragrance called New Moon.
Where do you get your hair styled?
I go to Natiroots for my haircare and styling. My natural stylist, Natalie Alexis, is a beautiful soul and I call her Queen.
Which celebrity’s style do you most admire?
Oprah – her style is simple, casual elegance that flatters her figure.
What style tips did your mother pass on to you?
To be tasteful, modest, elegant, classy and stylish and to carry yourself like and be a lady at all times.
