Potcakeman Triathlon 2016

The 2016 staging of the annual Potcakeman Triathlon takes place on September 24 in Nassau Bahamas. With the motto, ‘you don’t have to win, you just have to tri’, the event promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.

Here is the Triathlon Schedule:

6:30a.m. Body Marking

7:30a.m. Transition closes for all athletes
7:30a.m. Olympic Tri Start
8a.m. Sprint Tri Start
10a.m. Puppy Tri Start

The swim will take place at Jaws Beach. Meanwhile, bikers will ride along the Albany loop.  The run will be on the Clifton National Park Heritage trails.

The distances are 750 metres swim, a 21 kilometre bike ride and a 5k run. Olympic distance athletes will do two laps.

Participants can compete in the entire race or part of a relay team doing one or two legs each.

There will also a children’s race, the distances of 100 metres swim, 5k bike, and one kilometer run.

All money raised from the event goes towards the Baark! animal charity.
