Christians in the Caribbean will be entertained with music, praise and laughter during Barbados’ annual Gospelfest event which takes place from 18-26 May.

The festival, which has the ongoing theme ‘Touching Lives, Changing Nations,’ brings together “top local, regional and international gospel talent” and is always highly-anticipated and well-attended.

The week-long celebration will start as usual with a free Thanksgiving Service and then culminate with the ‘One Awesome Day’ gathering.

Some of the artists who will feature this year include award-winning Barbadian gospel group Promise; Trinidad and Tobago’s JPrince; Grammy-nominated artist Mel Holder; well-respected gospel singer Alvin Slaughter; and American comedian Rod Z.

Dates for some of the main events are as follows:

May 19th – Worship and Thanksgiving (free)

May 21st – Hymnspeak

May 22nd – Joseph Niles Legacy Concert (free)

May 24th – Laughter and Jazz

May 25th – Ultimate Gospel

May 26th – One Awesome Day (including the Gospelfest Kids Experience)

The festival, which has been running since 1993, aims to uplift your spirit and soul with fellowship, words of prayer, and fun activities for all the family.

Visit the Barbados Gospelfest website for more information on all the planned events.
