Barbadian Superstar Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Welcome Baby Boy

Barbadian superstar Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky have welcomed their first child.
According to media reports Rihanna, 34, had a baby boy on 13 May in Los Angeles. No name for the new arrival has been released yet.
There was much speculation that Rihanna would have her baby in Barbados after she travelled to the island in mid-late April, but she opted to give birth in the United States.
A source told People.com: “Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom.”
Rihanna revealed her pregnancy to the world in January 2022 with a series of photos taken in New York. Since then, the star and her boyfriend, who she is said to have started dating in 2020 after years of friendship, have been busy preparing for their first child together.
In a statement Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley congratulated the couple. She said: “I am absolutely delighted, on behalf of all Barbadians, to offer heartfelt congratulations to our newest National Hero, the Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty on the birth of her baby boy. Hers was a pregnancy that captivated the world for the last few months, and it is my sincere view that Rihanna represented well, women everywhere.”
Rihanna was added to the list of National Heroes in Barbados during the official ceremony on 30 November 2021 to mark the island’s transition to a republic.
She was recognised for her philanthropic work, her success as a billionaire businesswoman, and for promoting the island on the world stage as one of its most famous stars.
