Barbados Food and Rum Festival 2023 Promises Fun, Flavour and Entertainment

The Barbados Food and Rum Festival 2023 is set to entertain locals and visitors with a series of unforgettable gastronomical events from 19-22 October at various venues around the island.
This top-class culinary festival is one of the big-ticket items on the Barbados tourism calendar. It features eight food-focused experiences designed to showcase the island’s rich cultural heritage through sumptuous dishes and drinks prepared by world-renowned chefs and mixologists.
This year’s mouth-watering four-day schedule includes an evening of tasty food and free-flowing rum at Oistins, an early morning breakfast party on Brownes beach, a ‘Bajan Fair’ at Kensington Oval, and the grand finale ‘Liquid Gold Feast.’
The master chefs who will be demonstrating their exceptional cooking skills include Renee Blackman, Henderson Butcher, Anne Burrell, Damian Leach and Creig Greenidge. Mixologists including Shane McClean, Rohan Hackshaw, Natasha Jules, and Alexander Chandler will also provide plenty of rum cocktails.
Below are some of the festival’s main scheduled events:
Thursday 19 October
‘Oistins Under the Stars’ from 7pm to midnight. Admission is free.
Friday 20 October
‘Rum Route’ from 6pm to 10pm on the Mighty Grynner Highway (Spring Garden) to Kensington Oval. This event is sold out!
Saturday 21 October
‘R&R – Rise and Rum, the Breakfast Beach Party’ at Copacabana from 4am to 11am. Tickets are $280 (BBD).
Bajan Fair at Kensington Oval from 3pm to 8pm with an After Party starting at 9pm. Tickets for the fair are (BBD) for adults and (BBD) for children. (https://rentalsfloridakeys.com/) Entry to the After Party is free before 10pm for people with a Bajan Fair wristband or $40 (BBD).
Sunday 22 October
‘Liquid Gold Feast’ from 7pm to midnight. Tickets are $420 (BBD).
