Barbados Jazz Excursion and Golf Weekend 2019

Elan Trotman’s Barbados jazz excursion and golf weekend is on from 10-14 October 2019.

This will be the 6th edition of the event which has become popular with locals and tourists who appreciate jazz and top-class entertainment.

Every year the lineup for the event exceeds expectations and this year’s schedule is no exception.

Headliners include Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jeffrey Osborne, American singer and pianist Avery Sunshine, saxophonist and jazz legend Mike Phillips, jazz musician and producer Marcus Johnson, local jazz star Nicholas Brancker and comedian Chris Spencer.

In a press release last year, host Elan Trotman described the festival as “a must-attend event for jazz enthusiasts all around the world”.

He added: “Barbados has continued to be the perfect backdrop with its natural beauty, bounty of attractions and enticing culture and history.”

The event has been steadily growing in numbers and reputation since it started in 2013 and this year it is expected to attract over 400 visitors.

Some of the activities patrons can expect include a welcome reception and Bajan buffet, VIP meet and greets, a comedy show, and several after-parties with various themes.

Golfers are invited to play rounds at some of the island’s finest golf courses, including Sandy Lane Country Club, Barbados Golf Club and Royal Westmoreland Golf Club.

All proceeds from the final tournament at Sandy Lane Country Club will benefit Elan’s Never Lose Your Drive Foundation which funds Headstart Music Barbados – a programme that provides free instrumental training for children aged 8-11.
