Agrofest 2022

Agrofest will take place from 28-29 May 2022 and the theme for this year is ‘Greening Together: Ah Caribbean Ting’.

Barbados’ largest national agricultural exhibition usually attracts over 60,000 local and international visitors but it has not been staged since 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Agrofest will be held in the newly revamped Queens Park in Bridgetown. Over 130 exhibitors have already signed up, and some of the activities in 2022 will include livestock shows, a mixology demonstration, food sampling, a kids’ zone and an art craft village.

The gates open from 9am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $6 (BBD) for children and $18 (BBD) for adults and to enter this year, patrons will need to be fully vaccinated or present a negative PCR test taken within 24 hours of the event. COVID-19 testing facilities will be available outside the venue.

Tickets can be purchased at various box offices around the island including at the transport board terminals in Fairchild Street and Speightstown and online via Cave Shepherd and Ticket Nation.

Agrofest is hosted by the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS) in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The BAS says the outdoor event provides Barbadians with an opportunity to “experience all the facets of Barbados’ agricultural sector”.
