Run Barbados Weekend 2023

The annual Run Barbados Weekend is celebrating its 40th anniversary from 8-10 December 2023 with three days of races from a mile to a marathon.

The activities kick off on 8 December at the historic Garrison Savannah with the PwC Fun Mile. Entertainment begins at 6pm with the race starting at 8pm. There will be horseracing as well as food, music, giveaways, and prizes!

On 9 December at Barclays Park, St Andrew on the island’s scenic east coast, competitors will gather for the Sleeping Giant 5km race and the Casaurina 10km race. Entertainment starts from 2pm.

A warm-up session at 3.30pm will prepare the runners before the 10km race begins at 4.10pm and the 5km at 4.15pm. Everyone is invited to the after-party in the park.

On Sunday 10 December, the Sand Dunes Half Marathon and Farley Hill Full Marathon will get going in Barclays Park at 5.30am. The Joe’s River coastal walk will follow at 7am.

All race routes will go past some of Barbados’ most scenic sites and every Run Barbados participant receives a branded T-shirt and a uniquely designed ‘Finisher’ medal.

There will be lots of live music and entertainment on the routes and at the start/finish lines, as well as various water and toilet stations along the way. Shuttle transportation is available from Holetown, Bridgetown and Oistins.
