Christmas present

Christmas is nearly here again so it’s time to start thinking about what presents to buy family and friends, and to stock up on fancy treats and tasty goodies.

If you are thinking of buying local, some Christmas markets are already scheduled for November and early December, so you should be able to get well organised before the big day.

We’ve put together a list of various upcoming fetes and fairs, along with some regular farmers’ markets, which we will update as the season progresses. At all these events, you are sure to find items from micro and small enterprises that have been thoughtfully crafted and lovingly handmade.

Saturday 16 December – A Christmas Thrift Market at Dreadhop Brewery in Christ Church. Starts at 8am.

Sunday 17 December – Limegrove Lifestyle Centre will host its annual Christmas Craft Fair.

Limegrove Christmas Fairs 2023

Sunday 17 December – A Carib Christmas Market from 11am-3pm at Lower Estate in St George. Lots of plants on sale as well as festive food and drink.

Every Wednesday and Saturday – Hastings Farmers’ Market at the Artsplash Centre from 8am to 2pm. Free entry.

Every Saturday – Brighton Farmers’ Market at Brighton Plantation, St George from 6am to 10am. Free entry.

Every Sunday – Holders Farmers’ Market at Holders House in St James from 9am to 2pm. Entry is free.

This list will be updated regularly so make sure to check back to see what other fairs and markets are happening around the island in the lead up to Christmas.
