Our region is overflowing with entrepreneurs, innovators, and artisans who are offering goods and services that are uniquely Caribbean. Their business stories are original and inspirational and Yello is pleased to share them with you

In this new series, ‘Made in the Caribbean’, we aim to introduce you to a diverse range of local and regional small and micro enterprises and provide insight into how and why they got started.

These brands are proudly Caribbean, and we hope you will support them. Let’s get to know more about ‘Handmade by Cee’ in Barbados.

When / why was the business officially started?

In the summer of 2022, Connie had an idea to take a lifelong hobby and create a product that peaked her creative interest while being able to generate funds to help support her familyHer daughter then took the idea and helped create a business that truly showcases our creations and shares them with the world.

Where did the original idea / concept for the business come from?

This idea was born from the love of original crochet art i.e. doilies, chair backs, table runners etc, then we convert it into a product that appeals to ladies of all ages.

What products / services do you currently offer?

We currently offer handbags made from a combination of t-shirt yarn with leather accents, leather bags, and card holders. Worldwide shipping and custom order pieces are also available. We also offer repairs on any of our pieces.
