Soothing Sounds in a Scenic Setting: Naniki Barbados Music Festival 2020
by Karen Rollins Jan 13, 2020
Barbadian music lovers will be treated to two days of top-class singing and entertainment during the upcoming Naniki Barbados Music Festival 2020.
Local musicians Wesu and 2 Mile Hill will be joined by British saxophonist Soweto Kinch and Trinidadian Adan Hagley, amongst others, for the event at the Naniki Resort in Suriname, St Joseph from 18-19 January.
The scenic amphitheatre at Naniki has been hosting unique music events for the past few years. It’s known for producing a relaxed, chilled out festival featuring some of the best local and international musicians.
Last year, British jazz artist Joss Stone headlined the event during her Total World Tour.
On Facebook, Joss told her fans how much she enjoyed taking part: “Barbados, Wow! What can I say, Naniki Music Festival, just so full of colour, music, good food and good people, dancing in the grass as if we were in our back gardens, having a picnic, with a beer. It was so mellow and full of life.
She added: “This festival did not disappoint. The atmosphere was incredible with an amazing crowd who were just up for having a good time. Thanks for being great hosts, we won’t be forgetting our time with you, that’s for sure. We all feel extremely blessed by coming here. Please don’t change, Barbados.”
If you want to experience timeless music, in an amazing setting, make sure you get your tickets for the Naniki Music Festival 2020.
