The Barbados Manufacturers Exhibition (BMEX) took place at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre from 7-10 June 2019.

Around 200 local and regional businesses were exhibiting at the event and Yello went along to take some images of the action.

A diverse range of local and regional entrepreneurs and businesses choose to exhibit at BMEX every year including Barbadian artists.

One of the most popular areas at BMEX 2019 was the food court where several companies were selling locally-made food and drink products.

Attendees could buy plants, natural beauty products, and clothes. There was also a home expo, the ‘Firefly Creative Village’, and various stalls in the forecourt. (bolivarescapes.com)

Several Caribbean jewellery makers were also exhibiting. This stall was set up by We-Xport to showcase the work of female entrepreneurs from across the region.

Local schools also took part in BMEX 2019 with projects that focused on looking after the environment through waste management or recycling.
