‘Touching Lives…Changing Nations’: Barbados Gospelfest 2024

The Barbados Gospelfest 2024 event is celebrating 31 years of ‘touching lives, changing nations’ from 26 May-2 June with a week of music, laughter, worship, and praise.

The uplifting annual event showcases some of the most inspirational local, regional, and international gospel talent. This year, attendees can expect another full schedule of spiritually enriching activities.

Some of the artistes gracing the Barbados Gospelfest stage in 2024 include Nigeria’s Limoblaze, award-winning musician Samuel Medas, and Marvia Providence.

Speaking during a recent media launch, executive producer of Barbados Gospelfest, Adrian Agard, urged Barbadians to support the event. 

He said: “One may expect that given the kind of challenges this country faces, an activity like this would be embraced. However, on the contrary, over the years we have encountered those who are willing to pretend that the Barbados Gospelfest does not exist, while others are of the misguided notion that if they ignore us long enough, we will disappear; however, with God’s help we press on.”

Below are some of the main Gospelfest 2024 events:

26 May – Worship and Thanksgiving Service at 9am at the Mount Olive United Holy Church of America in Carrington Village, St Michael.

27 May – Public lecture entitled ‘Campaign of Hope’ at the Calvary Moravian Church in Roebuck Street.

28 May – Hymnspeak at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Bridgetown from 7pm. Advance tickets cost $45 (BBD). 

31 May – Laughter & Jazz at Savvy on the Bay. Tickets in advance are $55 (BBD) and $65 (BBD) on the door.

1 June – ‘Ultimate Gospel – A Taste of the Caribbean’ at the Abundant Life Assembly, Bank Hall, St Michael. Early bird tickets are $25 (BBD) for adults and $10 (BBD) for children up to age 16.

2 June – One Awesome Day (including the Gospelfest Kids’ Experience) at Farley Hill National Park from 1pm to 11pm. Early bird tickets are $40 (BBD).
