The islands ‘We Gatherin’ celebrations are moving onto St John in the month of May under the theme ‘Community.’

St John’s programme of We Gatherin’ activities includes a thanksgiving church service on 4 May at Mount Tabor Moravian church, a police service band concert from 4pm to 6pm on 10 May at St John Parish Church, and a concert under the stars at the Codrington Estates on 31 May from 4pm to 10pm.

Throughout the month there will also be many opportunities for the community to gather for a picnic, a hike, a walking tour, and several shops limes which are taking place at various venues.

We Gatherin is a 52-week tourism campaign branded as an “all-inclusive Bajan homecoming”. All the island’s parishes are taking turns to hold special events, competitions, festivals, and concerts, aimed at bringing together Bajans from around the globe.

‘We Gatherin’ 2025’ will culminate with nationwide cultural events from 30 November to 31 December including a national cook-off highlighting Barbadian cuisine.

The parish hosting events in June is St George with the theme of ‘The Land.’
