The Belize Cashew Festival and Agricultural Show is back!
In a few days, locals and visitors will converge in Crooked Tree Village, Belize District for the annual Belize Cashew Festival and Agricultural Show.
What can you expect?
The event which will be held 11-12 May 2019, started in 1992, and spans two days. It features an extensive variety of cashew products by chefs, artisans and local cashew farmers. Patrons will be able to choose from a wide selection of cashew dishes, drinks and more.
In addition to this, there will be the latest in cashew products, exhibitions, live entertainment and competitions.
Some of the highlights include:
- Cashew wines and pastries
- Greasy Pole competition
- Cashew wine drinking competition
- Cashew products
- Live music
- Horseback riding and more.
What should you bring?
Camera: A festival is a wonderful place for creating new memories. Bring your camera to capture the moments.
Sunblock: This is an all-day event. Protect your skin. Sunblock is highly recommended for outdoor events.
Comfortable attire & accessories: You will find yourself roaming, dancing and participating in activities. Wear comfortable shoes, clothing, sunglasses, and a bag or pouch that is not easy to misplace.
Your appetite: This should be first on the list since there are so many goodies to sample. The Cashew wine is worth trying! Remember to pace yourself.
Money: This is your access to the ‘goodness’ that will be available.
A spirit of fun and adventure: There will be lots of activities and competitions. Who knows? You may just get lucky and win! If you want to participate just for fun, ensure that your crew capture you in action.
