People often ask when is the best time to visit the Caribbean. For those of us living here, our response is: it’s always a good time, but certainly, this month, there’s no other place we would rather be. Why, you ask, because it seems a lot of activity is taking place? Several islands toward the south, namely Carriacou and Trinidad and Tobago, are in the throes of their carnival festivals.

Similarly, on the western end of the Lesser Antilles, we are also enjoying our annual carnival festivities. With Aruba Carnival 2024 having passed and Curacao’s soon ending, we Bonaireans joined the party in late January with a series of activities.  However, there’s still much more to come, as officially, Bonaire Karnaval 2024 occurs on 12 and 13 February 2024.

As usual, the annual parades will showcase our immense talent and national heritage with a series of magnificent floats and colourful costumes. Visitors will also experience our food, music, and dance, not to mention our penchant for pageantry.

Here’s a list of the scheduled Bonaire Karnaval 2024 events presented by InfoBonaire.
