On 30 April 2025, all of Bonaire will gather in Rincon for the annual Rincon Day (Dia di Rincon) celebrations. People of all ages have enjoyed the Rincon Day festivities for over three decades. On Dia di Rincon, all activities are centred around three key cultural elements: music, dance, and food.

What’s to be expected this year? The same as every other—a day full of fun, with the merriment starting very early in the morning and continuing late into the night. An early mass and the raising of the flag set things off, leading to cultural performances and much partying as the day ensues. Visitors can experience Rincon’s unique heritage with live bands, costumed folk dancers, and singers.

Additionally, Bonaire cuisine will take centre stage, with the main street lined with street stalls that offer mouthwatering local delicacies. You’ll likely find traditional treats like pastechi, pan dushi, and bolo di cashupete. Also, participants can browse the various artisan shops with their beautifully handcrafted souvenirs and locally made goods.

Of course, no Caribbean festival or celebration can occur without a colourful and lively street parade. As evening approaches, the day’s activities erupt into a huge street parade, with villagers and visitors partying in the street.

Dia di Rincon 2025 is here. Enjoy this festive celebration of Bonaire’s heritage with your family!
