Three blockbuster movies coming soon to the big screen

If you’re trying to work out how to keep the kids entertained over the Christmas holidays, you’re probably planning at least one trip to the cinema.

Several big-budget blockbusters are on the horizon and we’ve been researching the upcoming releases so that you can find a movie everyone will enjoy.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – due out December 14th

Spider-man becomes animated in this big screen adaption which is set to be a hit with children and adults.

The story focuses on a teenager from Brooklyn, New York who is mentored by Spider-man to take over the famous mask. The exciting development with this visually-stunning film is that the audience meets lots of people who can be Spider-man regardless of gender or race.

Written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind “The Lego Movie” and “21 Jump Street”, this film is sure to be a worthy addition to the Spider-man franchise.

Aquaman – due out December 21st

Aquaman, based on the character from DC Comics, is due to be released just four days before Christmas.

According to the official movie synopsis: “Aquaman is the king of Atlantis, born half-human as Arthur Curry and half-Atlantean. The film will focus on a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and the undersea Atlanteans, who are ready to lash out in revolt.”

Jason Momoa is the leading man and the film also stars Willem Defoe, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren.

Bumblebee – due out December 21st

The sixth edition to the Transformer family has been set in the 1980s and will focus on just one member of the Autobot team – Bumblebee.

The story follows Bumblebee, who is battle-scarred and broken, after he takes refuge in a junkyard in the form of a Yellow Volkswagen Beetle.

Teenager Charlie, played by Hailee Steinfeld, works on fixing the car and is soon taken on a wild adventure as the pair try to evade capture by a government agency known as Sector 7.

Fans of the previous Transformer films will be delighted that this instalment, which is directed by Travis Knight and written by Christina Hodson, is said to be the start of another exciting trilogy.
