It’s always a good time to visit BVI, but November is one of the best!

The end of November is that time of the year when locals and visitors alike relish being here. All are excited as we eagerly anticipate the much-loved lobster festival.

The annual two-day event sees all manner of lobster dishes being prepared as local chefs take centre stage, displaying their culinary talent. Now in its tenth year, the Anegada Lobster Festival evolved from the BVI Food Fest, a week of events involving the participation of local restaurants.

This year’s festivities will take place from 25 -27 November 2022. The Caribbean’s biggest crustacean festival, it is decidedly Anegadian and began in 2013. Over the years, it has continued to develop, drawing larger crowds each year.

The event is uniquely coordinated and planned as a scavenger hunt. Participants are invited to traverse the island, exploring and sampling the deliciously creative crustacean fare presented by the participating restaurants.

If you’re wondering what’s on the menu, then get ready to try curried, jerked, or stewed lobster. You can also try tasty appetisers such as lobster bites, fritters, and quesadillas. In addition to the traditional dishes, there will also be opportunities to try delicious new treats like vanilla-flavoured lobster ice cream. You read correctly. We’re sure that got your attention!

You can’t afford to miss the 10th Anegada Lobster Festival. It will be a fantastic time to relax and enjoy delectable meals with family and friends. Also, getting there will not be a problem, as there are several options for travel. The Anegada Express, Rowton Fast Ferry, Romney Associates, Speedy’s Ferry, and Global Ocean Transport will be operating inter-island services throughout the festival.

You can check out the BVI Food Fete website or Facebook page for more information on the festival.
