Join the CIL 5K Charity Run/Walk for a Cause This May!

Tips on training for your first 5K.

Many of us made goals to improve our health and fitness at the beginning of the year. We wanted to live healthier this year. Our goal was to either begin exercising regularly or allocate more time to physical activities.

We’re in the fifth month of the year, and presumably, you’re progressing well. However, if you aren’t, don’t be discouraged, as we have the perfect opportunity to get you outdoors and, most importantly, exercise.

On 20 May 2023, CIL will host their 5K Charity Run/Walk for a Cause again. Like the previous instalment, the May event offers several benefits to individuals, families, and groups. Besides being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air, you’ll get to engage in a fun exercising event. Also, you’ll be joining in a charitable endeavour as you will be supporting the BVI Alzheimer’s Association. All proceeds will go to the association.

With registration beginning at 5am at Queen Elizabeth II Park, it promises to be a full day packed with fun for the whole family. Several individual and group prizes will be up for grabs, so get your crew ready. You can even win a food voucher!

In addition, among the various activities is an early workout session to get you started right, and registrants will receive a light breakfast before the run/walk. Also, free blood sugar and cholesterol testing will be available.

On 20 May 2023, CIL and the BVI Alzheimer’s Association are making it easy for you to tick a few things off your 2023 list of goals. Take the opportunity!
