Two Awesome Sailing Events in One Big Celebration—it’s The BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival

The BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival combines two awesome sailing events into one big celebration. A premier event on the social calendar, the annual regatta and sailing festival has continued to grow since its beginning in 1973. Today, it’s one of the biggest and most eagerly anticipated Caribbean sailing competitions.

From 1 to 7 April sailors will embark on the two action-packed marine activities. For those who love sailing, it couldn’t get any better than this—a week of sailing! It’s always a memorable experience for locals and visitors as they coast along BVI’s beautiful, scenic waterways.

The BVI Spring Festival is the first of the two contests. It runs for three days beginning 1 April.  Sailing crews will engage in the Nanny Cay Cup, which involves a race round Tortola on 2 April. On 3 April, skippers will again take to the seas in the Scrub Island Invitational.   

The second part of this unique dual sailing event will continue with the BVI Spring Regatta from 5 to 7 April. The sailing festival and regatta offers an exciting time of racing, cruising, bareboating, multihull, and sports multihull sailing. Once again, all will witness an excellent display of competitiveness and camaraderie. Additionally, the seafarers can dock their vessels throughout the seven days and enjoy various onshore activities.
