Postponed until 6 April 2019: Cayman’s beloved one-day food festival, Taste of Cayman, returns to the Festival Green at Camana Bay.

The island’s favourite restaurants will serve up delicious tasting plates and beverages that showcase the many flavours of Cayman. From ice cream to cocktails, there’s something for every palette.

This year’s headlining tribute act will be the iconic, Simply Queen.

To make the most of your experience at Taste of Cayman, check out Yello’s five tips below.

Survey the options

Take a walk around the venue before you start tasting. This way, you can weigh your options and priortise the food you’d most like to try. You don’t want to fill your stomach or use all your tickets at your first few booths, only to see something even more appealing later!

Wear comfortable shoes

The Festival Green at Camana Bay is a large outdoor venue, and seating will be limited. With so much food to taste and entertainment to enjoy, it’s important to be comfortable. Choose to wear sneakers or flats with support.

Recycle

When you’re done indulging, dispose of your waste properly. Look for the Yello2Green recycling bins in key locations around the grounds to keep the festival clean, and Cayman green.

Try something new

The food vendors at Taste of Cayman are known to get creative with their offerings. Make the most of the experience by embracing your adventurous side and trying flavours you wouldn’t normally gravitate toward.

Enter the charity raffle

By entering the charity raffle, you’ll support a non-profit and have the chance to win incredible prizes. 2018’s grand prize was a trip to Miami to attend the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, including round trip flights on Cayman Airways and hotel accommodation. Other prizes have included staycations at local resorts, and restaurant or adventure experience vouchers.

Check out the Experience Room

Taste isn’t just about sampling food; enjoy cooking demonstrations by acclaimed local chefs or take part in interactive foodie events by checking out the Experience Room. 2018’s Experience Room included dining in the dark, rum tasting, and a lionfish cooking demo.
