Cayman Islands National Museum

What better way to step back in time and learn about the extraordinary natural and cultural heritage of the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands National Museum features six exhibition galleries showcasing collections of art, photos, and artefacts, even sea fossils. A highlight of the exhibitions is the Ira Thompson collection which includes manuscripts, prints, animal specimens and household items collected by this famous hobbyist and birdwatcher.

National Gallery of the Cayman Islands

Located just outside of George Town, at Camana Bay, the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands is on a mission to ‘promote the appreciation and practice of the visual arts in the Cayman Islands’. Open since 1996, the National Gallery fulfils its mission through exhibitions, education and outreach programmes and artists’ residencies. Visit the gallery to immerse yourself in local visual arts, Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, admission is free!

Cayman Spirits Co Distillery

Grand Cayman’s handcrafted premium spirits are made at the Cayman Spirits Co Distillery in George Town. And you can get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making these handcrafted spirits with a tour of the distillery. Tours are around 30-40 minutes long and cost $15 (US) per person. You can find available tour dates on the official distillery website.
