Hannah’s Heroes will host the 6th annual Big Shave in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation on Friday 28th September.

Over the past five years, the Caymanian community has raised $1.6 million USD for childhood cancer research. That fundraising has helped to fund six separate research grants at some of the most prestigious institutes across the United States, including Duke University and Johns Hopkins.

Yet there is still more work to be done. At least three more children in Cayman have been diagnosed with cancer since last year’s event, and one sadly lost his battle with the disease earlier this year.

You can help to conquer childhood cancer by:

  • Registering to shave your head
    • Register here to have your head shaved in solidarity with childhood cancer patients and survivors at the Big Shave event on 28th Have friends sponsor you, and see how much you can fundraise for the cause.
  • Organising a fundraiser at your office or school
    • Bake sales or dress down days are great ways to fundraise while educating and having fun.
  • Donating
    • If shaving isn’t your cup of tea, you can make a monetary donation to Hannah’s Heroes here.
