School’s out for summer!

If you’re still looking for a summer camp to enrol your children this month, here are a few fun options to consider.

Camana Bay Multi-Sport Camp

This three-week camp gives kids a chance to try lots of sports, including volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming and football. This is a great option for kids who enjoy staying active but don’t want to commit to just one sport.

Ages: Six to 14.

Camana Bay Basketball Camp

If your child likes to shoot hoops, this is the camp for them! Participants of Camana Bay’s basketball camp will have the opportunity to train with a special guest from the NBA, and improve their basketball skills with drills and games.

Ages: Seven to 12.

National Trust Summer Camp

Your children will become superheroes for the environment at the National Trust summer camp. They will learn about Cayman’s unique natural and cultural heritage and how we can save it. Daily field trips, lunches and snacks are included.

Ages: Seven to 12.

CDS Acting Summer Camps

If your child is a natural performer, they might enjoy Cayman Drama Society’s acting summer camp. Campers will take part in drama workshops, theatre games and rehearsals as they learn new performance skills.

Ages: There are two age groups available, eight to 12 or 13 to 16.

Spark School of Performing Arts

Sign your artistically inclined child up for Spark’s integrated arts camp. The performing arts school will host five weeks of camp from 2 July to 2 August. Choose one or more weeks of the programme or drop in on specific dates.

Ages: Five to 11.

Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church

First Baptist’s VBS is themed exploration this year. Students will discover the world’s wildlife locations while learning about Jesus’ identity.

Ages: Five to 11.

Cayman Riding School’s Summer Horse Camp

No prior riding experience is necessary at this summer camp. Children will have the opportunity to interact with and ride horses along inland and beach trails; they will also learn pony and stable management skills from qualified British Horse Society instructors.

Ages: Five and older.

The Wellness Centre, Ltd. Play2Grow Camp

A four-week intensive social play group based on the Early Start Denver Model curriculum. The camp is designed to enrich communication and social skills in young children with autism or developmental delays, or who are at risk.

Ages: Two to five.

King’s Sports Centre Summer Camp

At the King’s Sports Centre summer camp, kids will learn self-confidence, independence, physical skills and social skills in a safe environment. Campers are encouraged to lead a healthy lifestyle through physical activity and sport.

Ages: Five to 10.

YMCA Day Camps

“Summer to Remember” is the theme for this year’s YMCA summer camp series. Choose from a variety of day camps at Field of Dreams, Camana Bay Sports Complex and the CIBC Youth Centre. Camp themes include discovery, island exploration, adventure and junior chefs. No matter what your child enjoys, there’s a day camp for them at the Y!

Ages: Varies depending on the day camp. Options are available for children as young as five up to 17-year-olds.

There are plenty of fun, educational camps available on the island this July. Sign your child up today!
