Alyssa Marie is a Caymanian beauty blogger who celebrates natural hair and cruelty-free products. Alyssa shares with Yello her essentials for achieving clean, classic style.

Where do you shop for beauty products in Cayman?

I love Kirk Freeport and Le Visage for makeup and The Finishing Touch for accessories.

What are your three must-have beauty products?

Blotting powder, brow pencil, and lip balm.

What are your three favourite trendy products at the moment?

Hmm, well for one, I love the beauty blender – can’t live without it.  I’m also obsessed with the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in “Uncensored” –  it’s the best red lipstick on the face of the planet. And for number three, I would have to say the Bare Minerals Bare Pro concealer sticks. They’re sooo creamy and melt right into your skin. I use them for brightening up my under-eye area and for contouring my cheek bones. Happy to point out that all three of these products are cruelty free, which is something I firmly stand for!

How would you describe your personal beauty style?

I would describe my everyday beauty style as simple, clean and natural but put together. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of wearing a full face of makeup every day. Don’t get me wrong though, I love a good face beat. It may not be often, but when I glam, I GLAM!

What’s your go to look?

My go to is “no makeup” makeup – clean brows, dewy skin, a little bronzer and some glossy lips.

Whose style do you most admire, and why?

My girl Rih Rih is actual perfection in so many ways—she can do NO wrong. She is so unapologetically herself 100% of the time, and I’m all the way here for her boss babe, island gal vibes. I also love her unpredictability. She always switches it up and looks BOMB every single time (basic where??). And can we also talk about how Fenty Beauty has changed the game for the entire beauty industry?!

You and your mother seem very close. What style tips has she passed on to you? Have you passed any on to her?

We are SUPER close—honestly, she’s my best friend! Mom has always preached classiness and depth. She has always encouraged me to be more than just a “pretty face”. But in terms of makeup, I’m usually the one sharing all the tips. I’ve introduced her to the art of blotting powder (we both have oily skin) and contouring/highlighting.
