It’s Here! Curaçao International BlueSeas Festival 2025
by Lou-Ann Jordan Apr 7, 2025

In Curaçao, April is an excellent time to be in the open. It’s cool and breezy, and the landscape is captivating with the view of the impressive Kimbrahacha trees. Their bright, golden petals add spots of colour among the greens and browns of the surrounding foliage. It’s impossible to stay indoors, with nature putting on a show that is only rivalled by the atmosphere the Curaçao International BlueSeas Festival creates. The free annual music concert, an outdoor event highly anticipated by all, takes place from 17 to 19 April 2025.
Patrons are treated to stirring blues rhythms set against a picturesque natural backdrop. The atmosphere is usually warm and inviting, with all eyes glued to the performers. There are always those who can’t suppress the urge to get up and ‘bust a move.’ The same is anticipated this year, as the 2025 Curaçao International BlueSeas Festival programme features many notable international blues singers.
Over the three days, Kura Hulanda village and Pietermaai district come alive with live performances at participating restaurants like Mundo Bizarro, Mr Porter, Ginger, and Pietermaai. The concert is well known for spotlighting a remarkable ensemble of American and European blues singers and musicians. Some of the big acts that have appeared are Jo Harman, Candice Ivory, DK Harrell, Danielle Nicole, Kai Strauss & The Electric Allstars, and others.
This year’s line up is equally exciting with names like the Berget Lewis & Leif De Leeuw Band, the Altered Five Blues Band, the Laurie Morvan Band, and John Primer and the Real Deal Blues Band. Eric Johanson, John Németh, Sue Foley, and Rick Estrin and the Nightcats will also be jamming!
Get outdoors and enjoy April’s bright hues and relaxing ambience enhanced by deep, soulful entertainment. The only blues you’ll experience is the music. So, don’t miss the Curaçao International BlueSeas Festival 2025. For more information, visit www.curacaoblueseasfestival.com.
