The kitchen is one of the most important and most used spaces in any home. Unfortunately, it’s also often one of the most cluttered and chaotic. Whether you have a small or large kitchen to work with, these handy tips will help you to organise and make the most of your space.

1. Free up drawer space and keep your most used cooking utensils such as measuring spoons and cups organised and easy to grab by using adhesive hooks to hang them on the inside of a cabinet door.
2. Install hooks underneath cabinets to hang mugs above the countertop to give you more space in the cabinet itself.
3. Make use of the space above your stove by installing movable shelves to store frequently used pots and pans.

4. Tape or glue magnets to plastic wrap, foil, or wax paper boxes and stick them to the side of the fridge so they don’t take up valuable drawer, counter or cabinet space.
5. Install a handrail and use hooks to hang pots and pans on a wall, this will open up drawer space and keep things organised and easy to reach. You can use a towel rack for lighter items.

6. Use stackable acrylic or wire shelves or even magazine racks to organise the storage of items underneath the sink.
7. Make use of unorthodox spaces in your kitchen, like the side of your lower cabinets – you can use hooks or wall knobs to hang clunky items like colanders.
8. Don’t drown in a sea of plastic bags, stuff them into old tissue boxes for storage. They’ll be easy to pull out through the hole in the top.
