Dominica's Jazz 'n Creole 2025

Dominica’s ‘Jazz n’ Creole Festival’ is back in May 2005 at the Fort Shirley Cabrits National Park under the theme ‘Sunset Creole Chic’.

The headliners for the event this year were unveiled during a virtual media launch on 28 March. They include Trinidadian Jazz trumpeter Etienne Charles, Jamaican reggae star Etana, jazz and opera singer Marie-Claire Giraud, Signal Band, Colton T, Carlyn XP, Marie Pascale, and Swingin’ Stars.

‘Jazz n’ Creole’ is a fusion of music and fashion. Festivalgoers will be entertained by local and regional artists, while enjoying authentic Creole cuisine, exploring local art exhibits, and participating in family-friendly activities.

In the weeks before the main show there are also various fringe events taking place including Jazz in The City at KA-TAI restaurant every Tuesday, Jazz n’ Karaoke at the Karaoke Lounge on 30 April, Jazz Under the Stars on 2 May at Borough’s Square, and Jazz in Paradise at Paradise Valley on 3 May.

The Discover Dominica Authority is encouraging attendees to embrace a ‘Sunset Creole Chic’ dress code, inspired by the warm hues of a Dominican sunset, which includes deep coral, rich gold, warm orange, vibrant red, and bright yellow, complemented by shades of peach, magenta, and muted teal.

Suggested attire includes flowy dresses, linen outfits, bold prints, and tropical accessories reflecting Caribbean elegance.

Early bird tickets for Jazz ‘n Creole 2025 are $135 (EC). Tickets at the gate will cost $200 (EC). Children aged 13-17 can attend for $75 (EC), while children aged 12 and under can enter for free. VIP packages are available for $350 (EC).

You can buy tickets at the Discover Dominica Authority’s office in Roseau or online at https://dominicafestivals.com/jazz-home/.
