Chocolate is beloved almost universally. These Caribbean companies are churning out some delicious chocolate goodies using local ingredients.

The Grenada Chocolate Company, Grenada

This tree-to-bar chocolate company was founded in 1999. The international award-winning Grenada Chocolate Company produces organic dark chocolate using Trinitario cocoa beans that grow on the island. Their products have won awards from the prestigious Academy of Chocolate.

One One Cacao, Jamaica

One One Cacao is an Academy of Chocolate Bronze and Silver award winner based in downtown Kingston. This award-winning small-batch tree-to-bar chocolate company uses the best Jamaican beans for its treats including chocolate bars and drinking chocolate.

Exotic Caribbean Mountain Pride, Trinidad and Tobago

Since 2007, Exotic Caribbean Mountain Pride has been making Trinidad’s cocoa beans into tempting chocolate delights. From their small workshop in Santa Cruz, the company churns out traditional drinking chocolate, chocolates, ice cream, liqueurs and cocoa butter.

Cocobel Chocolate, Trinidad and Tobago

Cocobel Chocolate owner and chocolatier Isabel Brash only uses beans from the Rancho Quemado Estate in south Trinidad for her artisanal creations. She confesses to being in love with chocolate.

The Green Monkey Chocolatier serves up handcrafted artisanal chocolates, macarons, marshmallows, and more, at their boutiques on the west and south coasts of Barbados. The chocolatiers behind these creations are European-trained.
