Situated in the northwest, St. Mark, Grenada’s smallest parish, is home to several of the island’s popular attractions. There’s Duquesne Bay, with the enigmatic Amerindian petroglyphs carved into nearby rocks. Since Jouvay Chocolate, one of the island’s most well-known chocolate-makers, has its headquarters there, chocolate aficionados are often drawn to the area. Also, the parish’s exciting events usually attract many people, and this April will be no exception. An entire month of interesting events is planned to celebrate the St. Mark’s Festival.

The festival’s agenda features a fusion of activities organised by the St. Mark’s Organization for Development (SMOD). The cricket, football, basketball, and athletics games will appeal to sports fans. At the same time, the hearts of health enthusiasts will pump with a health fair and walk. Massive crowds will be drawn to the much-anticipated gospel concert, Festival Bingo event, the community talent clash, heritage and culture night, and the big Reservoir Jam.

However, no festival is complete without showcasing local cuisine, so it doesn’t end there. This year’s Food Fest is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser. Still, there’s no doubt that the tannia log competition will be, too. After all, you can’t get more local than an exciting and delicious tannia log competition. SMOD has certainly ensured the 2025 St Mark’s Festival remains a wholesome community event. Moreover, as the month of activities closes with a family night, it’s clear there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s a closer look at the official schedule for the St. Mark’s Festival month.
