After an exciting launch in November 2024, Masharamani 2025 is finally here! This year, the grand cultural show occurs from 14 to 24 February 2025. The annual Republic Day festival, which has been promoted as bigger, better, and more electrifying than ever, is well on its way to living up to expectations. The official schedule of events is out, and it boasts a selection of activities that will ignite the masses.

The event will feature a mix of old and new. However, preparations have been made to enhance the different competitions that customarily take place, making them more appealing and accessible. With the reigning champs Carlvin Burnett and Osei ‘O.K.C. The Artiste’ Clarke defending their titles, the Soca and Calypso monarchs will continue to draw many. Yet another event that’s creating a buzz is the Dancehall competition. It’s a welcomed platform for local talent guaranteed to show off these developing skills.

In addition, after weeks of intense work and long hours, it all culminates on 23 February for our designers. Many enthusiastically look forward to seeing our streets besieged with brightly costumed masqueraders atop or beside elaborate floats. The annual Costume and Float Parade is the grand stage upon which local designers showcase their creativity, artistry, and deep cultural knowledge. Other events like Splashramani, Mashrama and Republic Bank Flag will also garner immense crowds.

There is little doubt that Marsh 2025, ‘Expressing our culture and creativity as One Guyana’ will be memorable. True to the heart of Mashramani, the gatherings will overflow with locals and visitors celebrating after working hard throughout the year.

Here’s a look at the official schedule of events for Mashramani 2025
