The Diamond Waterfalls and Botanical Gardens is one of the most popular and beautiful attractions in St Lucia. Located on a three hectare site within the Soufriere Estate, the attraction is perfect for a fun day trip.

Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens

Visitors to the Gardens can enjoy a diverse range of tropical plants and flowers.  The Gardens are filled with bright and fragrant flowers such as hibiscus, West Indian jasmines, lobster claws, tail and flamingo flowers, balisier and macaw flowers.

Nature Trails

The Diamond Falls nature trail cuts between the botanical gardens and the tropical rainforest. The trail follows the old ridge that was once used to collect the harvested coconuts on the Soufriere Estate.  Visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds of the St Lucian orioles, hawks, and doves.  The trail ends at the Estate’s Old Mill and Waterwheel.  The mill was built in 1765, and was used to crush sugar cane.

Diamond Waterfalls

After exploring the beauty within the Botanical Gardens, visitors can relax under the Diamond Falls.  The Diamond Waterfall is approximately 17 metres in height and is a mixture of rainwater and volcanism fed by the Sulphur Springs. The falls drop to an inviting warm pool below. The water is mixed with sulphur, copper sulphate, magnesium, iron, manganese and calcium. The minerals in the water contribute to the blend of colours that are seen on the rock face behind the Waterfalls.

Diamond Falls Mineral Baths and Spa

The mineral baths were originally built in 1784.  These pools are situated in the open and the temperature of the water is pleasantly warm.  The therapeutic mineral spa waters are recommended for people who suffer from sore joints and muscles.  The site also has changing rooms for visitors plus a gift small shop and restaurant.
