Describe Guyana in three words.

Green. Hospitable.  Potential.

What is your favourite Guyanese traditional dish, and why?

Pepperpot or curry crab, I cannot choose between them.

What is your favourite childhood memory?

My very first vacation in Guyana was with my Uncle Lenny Chan-a-Sue in Mabaruma. Mabaruma had the sweetest oranges in abundance. I recall the flowers, the hills and a hammock.

What book from your childhood, would you pick up and re-read today?

Lord of the Flies by William Golding.

Where did you attend high school?

Bishop’s High School in Georgetown.

What was your favourite subject in high school?

English literature.

Which local activist/personality do you admire the most, and why?

Andaiye. She is my mentor, she has integrity, and she is caring, witty, perceptive and wise.

What is your favourite restaurant?

Oasis Café.

Where would you recommend as a ‘must go’ to a first time visitor to Guyana?

Kaiteur Falls.

Considering a staycation, where in Guyana is your favourite place to unwind and recharge?

Biderabo, near Bartica is my first choice, and second, is the Baganara Island Resort.
