The Jamaica Rum Festival (JRF) puts the spotlight on Jamaican rum, music, and food. Dubbed as the hub for all things Jamaican rum, the festival, now in its fourth year, will take place in Montego Bay on Saturday, 25 June 2022, from 11am – 11pm.
Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum, Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), and the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) have partnered to present the event at The Aqueduct, Rose Hall in Montego Bay.
What can you expect at this year’s Jamaica Rum Festival?
Patrons can expect demonstrations, interactive seminars, Jamaican gastronomy, and culturally immersive activities. They can expect exciting live performances by headliners Tessanne Chin, Romain Virgo, Capleton, Sanchez, and other talented performers.
The festival will be available digitally, so interested persons can watch the show live on the Jamaica Rum Festival’s website or social media platforms (@jarumfestival, @appletonestateja).
Why is Jamaican rum famous?
Jamaican rum is internationally recognised and awarded for its unique taste and high quality. Our rums can be enjoyed on the rocks or as a base for mixed beverages and cocktails. The island is home to four distilleries (Appleton Estate, Worthy Park Estate, National Rums of Jamaica, and Hampden Estate) currently operational. Overproof, white, aged, and golden rum are the most popular rums produced in Jamaica.
Who are some of the sponsors of JRF 2022?
Key sponsors of this year’s festival include Appleton Estate Rum, National Rums, the RJRGLEANER Group, Worthy Park Estate, Hampden Estate, Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, Kingston 62, and JWN Academy. Main Event Entertainment Group, Barcode, Mystique Integrated, iPrint, Pure National Ice, JSAERE, Scotiabank, Wisynco’s Wata, Cran Wata, Coca Cola, Tru-Juice, and CB Foods are also sponsors. Some of these sponsors will host hosting rum tastings and other interactive activities.
