Here Are Four Fun Events You Can Check Out This Independence Day In Treasure Beach!

Jamaica celebrates 60 years of independence on 6 August 2022, and the celebrations occur across the island. Many Jamaicans at home and throughout the diaspora look forward to our island’s Diamond Jubilee.

During the Jamaica 60th launch in April 2022 at Jamaica House, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the theme, ‘Reigniting a Nation for Greatness,’ calls on Jamaicans to take inspiration from our extraordinary achievements over the past 60 years as we chart the course for the future.

There are many opportunities to celebrate, from parades to parties, cultural competitions to the grand gala. If you are in St Elizabeth or would like to be part of the festivities, we’ve got a breakdown of what to expect!
