Get Ready for Reggae Month 2024

February was declared Reggae Month on 9 January 2008 by the government of Jamaica to celebrate and highlight the tremendous impact of Reggae music locally and internationally. During the month, there are several festivities, including live performances, panel discussions, the screening of reggae-related documentaries, and an award show.

The events are co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA). Most events occur in Jamaica, but some happen across the diaspora.

Reggae Month kicks off this year with an official church service and launch at the Fellowship Tabernacle on 28 January 2024. Adding to the festivities this year, JaRIA celebrated its 15th anniversary on 3 February and will host a series of events throughout the month.
