Kingston Creative Presents the ArtWalk Festival… A Pop-Up Carnival Remedy: The Cure to Your Tabanca

Jamaica Carnival may be over, but you still have a chance to lock down the streets with Kingston Creative. The organisation is partnering with Red Stripe, the Tourism Enhancement Fund, American Friends of Jamaica, and Main Event, for the ArtWalk Festival on 30 April 2023.
The festival is dubbed a pop-up carnival remedy, and participants are encouraged to wear their carnival costumes or Monday wear and enjoy a cure to their tabanca. The event occurs at Water Lane, 107 Harbour Street, Downtown Kingston, starting at 11am and culminating at 5pm.
The ArtWalk is held on the last Sunday of the month and features free performances and an artisan village. Interested people can book a guided mural tour on the Kingston Creative website. The ArtWalk is a free public art festival celebrating the UNESCO Creative City of Music. The non-profit organisation highlights Jamaican artisans, culture, and creativity to position Kingston as the creative capital of the Caribbean.
How should you prepare for this event?
The event is free, so you can sign up online if you want to attend. Follow the dress code and prepare to have fun. Since the event is during the day, consider wearing sunscreen and sunglasses for sun protection. Also, ensure you have money for food, transportation, or other expenses.
