Where do you shop in Jamaica?

This cute concept store by the name of KERRY manwomanhome, it has the best of everything.

Do you have a favourite local designer, if yes, who and why?

Jamaica has an abundance of creative talent. I work with many designers both locally and regionally, and as such, I do not have only one favourite. It changes from season to season depending on the collection from the designer.

What are your classic ‘must have’ items of clothing in your closet?

My must haves are black anything and everything, great fitting denim, classic white shirts, classic black pumps, fashion pumps, diamond studs and pearl earrings, and a great pair of fashion sneakers, or two or three.

Is there a particular style of jewellery that you favour?

I am somewhat of a chameleon when it comes down to my style. I like a classic look and I also like bold fashion jewellery. I am a true creative soul, and tend to dress based on my mood. One day I can be dressed in an Audrey Hepburn inspired classic look, and the next day, I am dressed in a Kate Moss Bohemian style.

 What is your favourite perfume?

I have two perfumes that I consider to be favourites, Mimosa by Calypso St Barths, and Wild Bluebells by Jo Malone.

Do you prefer wearing flats or heels?

My first instinct is to say flats but that isn’t true they both make me feel like a different person so I like both, it really depends on my mood on the day.

How would describe your everyday work attire?

Comfortably chic and definitely stylish.

How would you describe your evening/’heading out with the girls’ attire?

I’m not a ‘going out’ type of a girl. I like the mountains, the countryside, and the beach. Definitely comfortable stylish relaxed attire.

Where do you get your hair styled?

At Roxanne’s and Blow by Blow.

What style tips did your mother pass onto you?

She always said ‘you are never dressed without a smile’.

What style tips would give a young professional seeking to create a signature look?

A signature look is the holy grail of personal style. The key to looking fabulous begins with identifying what kind of style personality you have. I would suggest to start by pulling inspiration images from magazines, and online, then make a list of your favourite clothing items. Ask yourself some questions do you like trendy pieces or are you leaning towards more classic styles? What image do you want to project? Then, have a look in your closet and do some spring cleaning. You are who you are, and once you accept it, you will be able to figure out what pieces look best on you. Always remember though, that you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.
