These Seven Tips Can Make Father’s Day Special for the Important Man in Your Life

Many of us treat Dad to random gifts throughout the year to let him know we appreciate him. However, Father’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate and delight the loving and caring men in our life. We know that tangible gifts are meaningful, and activities can help create lasting memories. So, we have curated a few activities you can combine with a tactile gift to make your dad feel loved on his special day.

Pay for something fun.

Book a day or evening excursion where he can relax, party, and have a great time. Other options include an ATV excursion, horseback riding, rafting, zip lining, snorkelling, or a day at a waterfall. Remember to capture the moments so Dad has fond memories to reflect on later.

Do a scavenger hunt.

Create a list of riddles that hint at the prize and put them strategically where he can discover them. You can cheer him on during the hunt by taking candid pictures or videos. You could make the prize his favourite cologne, a sweet treat, or an item he’s been eyeing for a while.

Add to or help him start a collection.

Some people collect stamps, vinyl records, coins, and currency. If your dad is a collector, add to his collection. If he still needs to start collecting items he loves, get him started by gifting him a rare beer, wine, antique shaving supplies, books, or badges.

Pamper him.

A spa day where dad can enjoy a relaxing massage, get a facial, manicure or pedicure might seem typical, but it is a thoughtful gift. Dad deserves to be pampered. If he is shy about going, join him. Ensure you tell him what to expect if it is his first time visiting a spa for a service. Many spas offer Father’s Day discounts, so check for one that suits your budget.

Challenge him to his favourite game.

Whether chess, basketball slam dunk, cards, or dominoes, challenge your father with an activity he enjoys. It doesn’t matter who wins, the aim is to do something fun that allows you to bond with each other. Get other family members to cheer you on and offer a prize to make it exciting.

Surprise him with breakfast in bed.

Most men are early risers who jump into their day. So, having a morning where Dad sleeps longer and enjoys a delicious breakfast in bed is a beautiful way to start his day. Let them help make the meal or serve it if you have children.

Have a picnic.

Treat him to a tasty feast that includes dishes, drinks, sides, and other treats he loves. You can drive to a park or have a picnic in your backyard. If it’s a backyard picnic, put some music on, and grab a football for a fair game to burn calories after. The fresh air and scenery provide a perfect backdrop to give him the tangible gifts you bought, so remember to take them with you!
